Mehron Melik founded Mehron Inc. in 1927 in a New York loft just off Broadway.  For many years Mehron's products were sold directly to performers in the theatre district.  After WWII, Mehron began to develop makeups to hide the scars on the faces and bodies of returning soldiers.  In the 50's and 60's the company went national as the entertainment business spread.  At this point, Mehron makeup began to appear in retail stores to keep pace with the demand for good theatrical makeups.

The company has just begun celebration of its 75th anniversary and intends to keep pace with the demand for newer and better products.
